Our Participation in ZERO WASTE UPCYCLING workshop at Marie Curie-Sklodowska University of Lublin 14 Sept 2022

During another Lublin Science Festival our students took part in an inspiring hands-on workshop on Upcycling. Before the activities we listened to a talk about Zero Waste led by a panel of local scientists, activists and businessmen.

After that, we had a chance to create NEW exciting things out of OLD stuff. UPCYCLING workshop offered three fun-filled activities:

1) making decorative pots made out of empty glass jars filled with soil and pretty pebbles to grow small succulent plants

2) creating beautiful homes for insects using natural materials such as cones, berries, seeds and bark, found in the nearby parks or forests

3) re-using old bits of fabric covered in melted natural wax to make multiple use antibacterial alternatives to food wrapping.
